Moving on from Art Nouveau, Art Deco broke away from its predecessor and utilised simple, polygon shapes. Designers would then combine these simple shapes to create interesting patterns, often with zigzags and sunbursts to create extremely unique pieces of jewellery which were often worn as statement pieces at cocktail parties due to their size, style and beauty.
